The vibe

Gorg-O-Mish is Vancouver's long-running after-hours club at 695 Smithe Street, operating 2AM–8AM on Fridays and Saturdays since 2003. The name means "twilight" in Farsi. It runs as a no-alcohol venue (after-hours license), with the focus entirely on the music and dance floor. The room has a warehouse-rave feel with a sound system that has a cult following — including subwoofers built into the wooden benches near the front.
