The Red Room is an independent, family-run venue on Richards Street that has been operating as a nightclub since the late 1980s. The open floor plan is built around Vancouver's first PK Sound system — a serious bass rig that defines how the room sounds and who shows up. The space is a straight-ahead dance room: no frills, strong sightlines, intelligent lighting, and a crowd that came to actually dance rather than sit at tables.
Open 9:30 PM to 3 AM, 19+ with government ID required at the door. Fridays pull a Latin crowd for Cancun Nites; Saturdays draw a bass-music faithful for SUBculture with local and touring acts. Ticket prices are generally modest for a mid-size independent club. The room is a standing dance floor with good sightlines — expect it to get loud, because the PK Sound rig is the venue's calling card.
The dress code at The Red Room Vancouver changes depending on the night. Fridays require a dress to impress. On other nights, the dress code is more casual, but there is one strict policy: you must always wear a shirt. If you take your shirt off inside the club, you will be asked to leave until you put it back on
The Red Room is a 19+ nightclub, and in order to get in, you must show two pieces of ID. One is a government-issued ID (e.g. driver’s license) and a second piece with your full name and photo or signature (e.g. company ID). This rule ensures a safe and responsible environment for all guests
There’s no bottle service available at The Red Room, but there are three bars inside the club where you can easily order drinks.
