Bar None was a Yaletown institution at 1222 Hamilton Street that ran for 33 years before closing September 27, 2025. It billed itself as Vancouver's only true New York-style nightclub — a tighter, more curated room than the Granville Strip cattle-call, with a sound system taken seriously and a crowd that leaned older and more dressed-up than the average late-night strip bar. The music format rotated between Dance, House, Hip-Hop, and EDM, with local DJs sharing the booth with occasional name acts.
Bar None is permanently closed as of September 27, 2025 — it no longer operates. When it was open, it drew a dressed-up crowd to Yaletown for house, hip-hop, and EDM nights in a mid-size room with a strong sound system and multiple bars. Entry and bottle service pricing sat above the Granville Strip average.
