FAQ

OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING OUR CRAWLS
1. What’s involved in being a participating venue?
It’s simple. You’ll be included in the crawl route, and attendees will stop by your venue during the designated hours. All we ask is that you waive cover for guests wearing a crawl wristband. You keep 100% of your bar sales. Drink specials are optional but you can offer them if you please.
2. How many people should we expect?
-
Starting or Final Venue: Expect about 50–80 guests, depending on sign-ups.
-
Middle Venues: Expect around 30-50 people total, spread out across your time slot. No need for extra staff—just a steady bump in foot traffic for the night.
We’ll confirm expected numbers closer to the date and will notify you early if anything changes.
3. What are the benefits of joining?
-
Free to participate — no fees, no catch
-
We send new patrons your way
-
You keep all bar revenue
-
You’ll be listed in our event marketing (Eventbrite, flyers, social posts)
-
You can use our artwork to promote your participation
- We spend our own money to promote the crawl via instagram ads, snapchat ads, tik tok ads, and facebook ads.
4. What are the requirements for venues?
-
Theres only one requirement: Provide free entry for guests wearing crawl wristbands – other than this your night should run like a normal night.
-
Optional: Offer a drink special if you’d like — we’ll promote it on our crawl map.
-
Out events all have a disclaimer, venues may refuse entry for reasons like intoxication, capacity, or dress code.
5. What is a Wristband Venue?
This is the first stop of the crawl where guests check in.
We would ask for you to provide a staff member to distribute wristbands for 3 hours from 7:30-10:30PM. We’ll cover the wage for your staff during these hours. For larger crawls or in extenuating circumstances we can provide an on-site host who scans tickets and distributes wristbands. People typically trickle in to grab their wristband and a drink before heading to the next stop.
6. What does the wristband staff member do?
The staff member responsible for distributing wristbands (your staff our ours) will have the following duties:
-
Checking tickets
-
Distribute wristbands to guest
If you’re not a wristband venue, you won’t need to handle any of this.
7. Do we need extra staff or security?
Usually no. If we anticipate a turnout over 100 people, we’ll give you at least 2 weeks’ notice so you can plan ahead.
8. What should our staff know ahead of time?
-
Expect a steady flow of guests (not all at once)
-
Attendees will wear crawl wristbands
-
Please honor any drink specials you’ve chosen to offer
-
Door staff should be aware guests may arrive in waves and visit multiple bars
- We will provide an info sheet for staff
9. What’s it like being the Final Venue?
This is the last stop of the night, usually from 11:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Guests tend to stay longer and spend more here, so it’s great for sales and closing energy.
10. Can we just be a regular stop, not a check-in point?
Yes! If you’d prefer not to be a wristband venue, you can simply be a participating or final venue — whatever works best for you.
11. What if we reach capacity?
No worries — our crawlers have other bars on the route. We include a disclaimer letting guests know that entry is based on your capacity and discretion.
12. Will you promote our venue?
Yes! Your bar will be:
-
Listed on our Eventbrite page
-
Featured on crawl flyers/posters (when applicable)
-
Included in any digital marketing
We can also send you artwork for your Instagram or in-house posters.
13. What kind of drink specials can we offer?
Anything that complies with your local liquor laws. Most venues do something easy like:
-
$5 shots
-
A themed cocktail
-
A discounted beer or well drink
Again — specials are optional.
14. How do attendees show they’re part of the crawl?
They’ll have digital tickets and wristbands, which help your staff easily identify them.
15. Will guests arrive in one big group?
No — they arrive in waves throughout the night based on their own pace. We stagger the crawl times to avoid large surges at once.
16. Whats the demographic?
The demographic for our crawls is usually young professionals, 20-29 years old. In past crawls venues indicate they are usually mature and well mannered, the crawl is geared towards new graduates and young professionals in the area, looking to try new bars and celebrate the holiday.
17. How many venues are you targeting?
We’re planning for 4 to 6 venues total:
-
1 Starting (wristband) venue
-
1 Final venue
-
2–4 Middle venues where guests hop between
18. What happens after we say yes?
Once confirmed, we’ll send:
-
A preview of the wristbands
-
Contact info for the on-site host (if applicable)
-
An estimated headcount 1 week before the crawl
- Artwork if requested for social media
